Parap Village Markets are known for being a top favourite and its “relaxed vibe” as said by locals. With plenty of local arts and crafts for sale it is a great opportunity to pick-up some sentimental pieces and the perfect environment to catch up with friends or family for coffee while wandering through the Parap galleries. 


Malak Market Place (seasonal)

During the later hours of your afternoon explore the Malak Markets in north Darwin, where you can find and support local growers, pick up a unique piece of art and enjoy enticing food stalls. Picture raw vegan treats, flea-market finds and “spray-free” produce. Malak Market is one of Darwin’s youngest markets with a heavy focus on organic produce, locally handmade goods and phenomenal entertainment running in the dry season from April to October every Saturday until 9pm. 


Nightcliff Markets

The Nightcliff Markets offer a relaxed and leisurely atmosphere. Try the near-perfect pork Bahn Mi as claimed by locals from Ha Hong, smell and taste decadent Nutella & Banana filled crepe creations from Ken’s Crepes and morish berry donuts from Alley Cats Patisserie. Meander through vintage stalls, coffee in hand, with groovy live music as the soundtrack to your Sunday evening. 


Rapid Creek Markets 

Filled with a strong Asian influence, the Rapid Creek Market is every foodie’s dream. Rapid Creek is one of Darwin’s eldest markets full of exotic fruits, freshly picked vegetables and a bustling atmosphere. A popular haunt for local chefs like Ben Andrews, who claims the Banana Fritters are the best this side of Bangkok. Every week discover something new; Rapid Creek Markets is known for being as exciting as any south-east Asian market.
